Case Study Jaguar Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover is a multinational automotive company, that brings together two much loved, highly prestigious British car brands, and is the UK’s biggest car manufacturer making 544,401 cars a year.

Setters have played a key role in the overall safety strategy of Jaguar Land Rover through the delivery of the +people® Programme across numerous sites (Halewood, Solihull and the Engine Manufacturing Centre) and functions (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Power Train Operations).

The Engine Manufacturing Centre Project involved Setters supporting the construction life cycle of the site, including partnering with Beck and Politzer during commissioning, delivery of the +people® Programme during operations, delivery of site inductions in order to ensure new staff were incorporated into the safety culture and development of Supervision across the site.
The successful outcomes of the +people® Programme to the Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AME), which included the development of accredited Front Line Safety Coaches, has led to Setters supporting AME on the Darwin new build project in Slovakia, Europe.

The partnership and trust developed between Setters and Jaguar Land Rover has led to Setters playing a key role in the delivery of an IOSH accredited Supervisor Development Programme being piloted at the Solihull site, prior to a global rollout.
